Advisory Council

The Advisory Council advises the members of the Executive Leadership Consortium. It is not a governing body. It provides a program framework, focusing on policies; implementation and evaluation. It advises the Director and Executive Fellows in planning, development and marketing.

The Council meets quarterly; March, June, September and December. When it is necessary members work in small committees. There are two co-chairs: an Advisory Council member and the Institute Director.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Help to resolve issues, e.g.: strategy implementation.
  • Serve as a bridge between the university and the business community.
  • Serve as external ambassadors and engages in public relation.
  • Bring resources to the Institute.
  • Help identify workforce needs.

The members of the Advisory Council are:

  • Diane J. Davis – (co-chair ) former Vice President & COO, Edward L. Bakewell, Inc.
  • Elizabeth Desrosiers - Management Lead, IT Portfolio, IT Strategy & Operations, Monsanto Company
  • Terrence Hardin - Auto Section Manager, State Farm Insurance Companies, Central Zone Claim Resolution Team (CRT)
  • Malaika Horne, Ph.D. (Co-Chair) Director - Executive Leadership Consortium, University of Missouri–St Louis
  • Gary Lee - President, Space Tek, Executive Fellow, UMSL Executive Leadership Consortium
