John Bachmann, senior partner at Edward Jones and executive fellow at the UMSL Executive Leadership Consortium, hosts a book series, interviewing a book author on a timely issue. This program is open to the public.

The purpose of the Bachmann Book Series is to:  

• Provide a service to the university and the community by offering rich and rewarding topics on business by exposing students, faculty, staff, and the public to forward thinking and stimulating business topics  
• Expose students, faculty, staff, and the public to business authors in the popular culture
• Attract business leaders and others to the campus, increasing their awareness and involvement in the College of Business and the Executive Leadership Consortium

A book signing and a reception will follow the program.

• Authors: Dave Esler and Myra Kruger, The Pursuit of Something Better – How an underdog company defied the odds, won customers’ hearts, and grew its employees into better people. 
• Jack Rooney, CEO, U.S. Cellular will also be in attendance. 
• Bachman, executive fellow, will interview Rooney and the author(s). The book is primarily based on U.S. Cellular’s success.
