
The UMSL Executive Leadership Consortium has now expanded beyond the business school. Students from all majors are invited to attend programs. Faculty are encouraged to refer students and, if appropriate, give credit for attending ELC programs.

The purpose of the Distinguished Speaker Series is to feature a leader of notable achievement to talk about topics pertinent to business. The series continues to reach out to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the larger community to convey invaluable information about business leadership.

The purpose of this mentoring project is to help students meet their career goals after graduation. Executive fellows facilitate three sessions per program with small groups of three to five students. This mentoring project is open to all students. Students must attend all three sessions. Faculty gives credit for student participation.

A panel of business and organizational leaders, all members of the St. Louis Rotary Club, serve as panelists discussing ethics to students and faculty. Tom Teasdale, executive fellow and St. Louis Rotary Club member, organizes this program each semester and serves as the moderator.

This program is co-sponsored by the UMSL Executive Leadership Consortium, Career Services, Office of Multi-Cultural Relations and Alumni Relations. It targets undergraduate and graduate students in any major. This is not only an opportunity for students to learn more about the world of work and be exposed to State Farm executives, it is an opportunity for State Farm executives to be more involved in preparing current and future leaders.
John Bachmann, senior partner at Edward Jones and executive fellow at the UMSL Executive Leadership Consortium, hosts a book series, interviewing a book author on a timely issue. This program is open to the public.

The program begins with a launch/matching reception, February 11, where leaders and students are matched. In May, there is an end of the semester reception where leaders and students discuss their experiences.
The goal of the Women’s University Mentoring Project (WUMP) is to empower students to realize their talents and potentials.
