Counselor Connection Workshop Print

Celebrating 20 years of Empowering Young Women Conferences & Planning the Future

This workshop will be an interactive exploration of your vision for the future of the Empowering Young Women conferences. The day will be lead by Dr. Therese Cristiani.

This year’s workshop will be filled with thought-provoking ideas, information, and inspiration to help you step out of your old roles and approach your work with a renewed sense of empowerment.

In lieu of the conference this year, the leadership team is will join you as co-creators for the future of the EYW conferences.

This is an opportunity to influence the direction of the conference and to make a difference in the empowerment of young women. Bring your great ideas, your wish lists and be prepared to engage in brainstorming sessions.

Goals of the Workshop

  • To brainstorm the direction of future Empowering Young Women conferences
  • To explore ideas for making the conferences sustainable/accessible to more young women locally, nationally, and globally.
  • To provide participants an opportunity for leadership
  • To network with others who share your passion for working  with young women

The Girl Talk, Girl Power Conference is part of the Empowering Young Women Conference that includes workshops for middle and high school students and school counselors. Since 1991, these workshops have been formatted in a train-the-trainer model
with the expectation that attendees will find ways to bring back the themes and activities to their schools in order to impact more students.
