With the aid of a facilitator, participants will have the opportunity to raise and resolve challenges they face in making day-to-day, short-term and long-term business decisions.
Participants will:
- access UMSL College of Business Administration faculty and outside resources
- join in peer-to-peer brainstorming, coaching, networking and roundtable discussions
- receive one-on-one, confidential counseling sessions with expert coaches
- engage in high-impact workshops driven by participants’ choices
An application form is required to ensure that your fellow participants meet the criteria needed to be part of the program.
Your co-participants will:
- be key decision makers
- lead companies that have been in business at least two years
- employ at least three (3) full-time employees
- generate sales or revenues between $500,000 and $10,000,000
This program costs $2500 at time of registration and requires participants to make a 10-month commitment, 3 hours per month.
Steve Bailey, Esq.
An experienced litigation attorney, Steve teaches classes in Risk Management and Principles of Insurance, Retirement Planning, Life Insurance and Employee Benefits, Business
Communications, the Psychology of Investing, and Business Law and Ethics. He studies rail and water transportation in his spare time.
Alan F. Hauff, MBA
Small Business Program Specialist currently serving as Director of the Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) and as a lecturer in the College of Business Administration. As owner of a marine repair and towing firm, Alan grew the company from startup to 27 employees and $1.5 million in sales in three years. He was director of the Small Business Development Center and International Trade Center at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. From 1999-2001 he served on the IRS Advisory Council Small Business/Self-Employed Subgroup.
James Pandjiris, MBA
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the St. Louis Society of Financial Analysts, Jim teaches courses in financial management, investments and retirement planning. Before joining UMSL, James was Corporate Valuations Officer, Investment Banking
Division, at A.G. Edwards and provided appraisal services for middle-market companies both public and private.
