About Earth-Based Environmental Education Print

Help your students know their place on the planet. Get your master's in Education with an Earth-Based Experiential Education specialization. Augment your core courses with six hours from the following:

  • Experiential Education (TCH ED 6440)
  • Outdoor Education Leadership (TCH ED 6442)
  • Environmental Education (TCH ED 6444) (Previously Voyage of Learning)
  • Big River Ecology (EDUC 5006)
  • Teaching in the Outdoors (EDUC 5006)
  • Special Problem/Internship

TCH ED 6442 Outdoor Education Leadership (3 credit hours)

Use literature, cooperative journaling, leadership development, and authentic outdoor experience to help students know the land and the place they call home.

Students who complete at least 16 noncredit contact hours from Teaching in the Outdoors, Certified Interpretive Guide training, or a supervised interpretive experience may earn a Chancellor's Certificate in Environmental Interpretation.
